For guests who want to hit the sand and the sea, there are many options in the surrounding area. Here are just a few:

Jerup Strand
This is our local beach and within walking distance of the B&B. Beautiful white sand and the calm waters of the Kattegat on Denmark’s East Coast.

Ålbæk Havn
Just 6 km to our north is the cosy harbour town of Ålbæk. Here you will find a quaint fishing harbour surrounded by beautiful beaches and some excellent dining options including—of course—fresh seafood.

Palmestranden
If you feel like a taste of the tropics, and perhaps some beach volleyball, then just 10 minutes drive to the south you will find Palmestranden. A beautiful palm lined beach with one of Denmark’s best ice cream kiosks. The soft serve is truly amazing.

Skagen Strand
A unique experience awaits those who make the 20 minute drive north into the resort town of Skagen. This is mainland Europe’s northern most tip and the place where the North Sea and Baltic Sea collide. This 300 degree panorama of ocean offers stunning views and sunsets.

Tversted (my personal favorite)
If the east coast beaches are too calm and placid then the crashing waves and blustery air of Denmark’s west coast offers world class windsurfing conditions and romantic sunsets. And no day in Tversted is complete without a visit to the Blå Ishus—home of the famous Kæmpe Kalle Globeguffer ice cream cone. This ice cream monster is only for the brave of heart so feel welcome to downsize if you like ;)
